As I walk back into green to the sunlit dawn My heart sunk into the soil deep, to root and reap my peace, to once again leap until my next vacation.       - the annual leave

kebab stick and the little girl

"bhaiyya mujhe bhi chahiye" ( Brother, I also want) - she told us pointing the delicious street foods ready for breaking fast during the Ramzan month at Mumbai Ghansoli Darga street. A cute little girl, half our height kept patiently waiting, as my friend handed her the kebab stick.  "mujhe ek aur bhi chahiye" (I want one more) she did not walk away. He bought one more and handed her. she ran into a parking lot, not much lit by street lights.  I watched her as she stood alone in the dark and started eating it. She didn't look back, she did not care the whole world that made her eat it alone. #shortstory #mumbaidiary #hunger

"bhaiyya aapka ghar kidhar hei?" I asked as I adjusted myself to fit at a small space in driver's seat of an autorikshaw. The sun was slowly fading to vanish from horizon. He told me he was from Allahabad, UP. We started talking while he was still driving through the hectic Kalyan shilphata road in Navi Mumbai. Corona Times

Quarantined,no companions Continents wail... Amidst chaos and contagions Life has to sail... The best part of this lockdown is a time that for introspection so that we look back, take a break and bring the dusted habits back into decorum. I just decided to blog again after a long time. The worst part, of course revolves around the scare and the uncertainty that is unprecedented at a time when already world seem to be shadowed by an economic slowdown. "You never know what can happen tomorrow", I just started believing in those words, though it seems a bit unscientific.  When we heard "Hope is a dangerous thing" from Red at Shawshank jail for the first time, it just feels sometimes echos in media voice. But at some point everyone realises the same " Hope is the best of the things" , from Andy which echoed outside Shawshank.  The world will see a new dawn after the Covid-19 passes away. Till then just stay home, stay safe.
